Radka Zimová King je současná česká výtvarnice, která žije a pracuje v Praze. Její tvorba se vyznačuje hledáním svobody výrazu prostřednictvím živých barev. Zabývá se tématy městské krajiny, přírodních scenérií a hravých zátiší, které pulzují abstraktně aplikovanými barevnými kontrasty. Její malba vzbuzuje v divákovi pozitivní emoce a dobrou energii. Radka stále zkoumá nová témata a experimentuje s kombinacemi malby, kresby a koláží.
Artist introduction
Radka Zimová King is a contemporary artist living in Prague, the capital of Czech Republic. She is a colourist and painter. She loves working with vibrant joyful colors, and expresses freedom and emotion in her paintings. Her art is inspired by city and nature landscapes, but she also paints abstracts, florals, and always explores new themes.

Two years ago I arrived for a meeting at the Impact Hub in Prague. From the first moment, I was taken by two of Radka’s paintings that were hanging on the wall. They captivated me so much that I could not take my eyes off them for the whole two hours of the meeting. Immediately, I made a reservation and bought them. Now they hang in my kitchen above the dining table. Every day they make me happy. No matter whether it is a beautiful day or it is raining outside, the paintings bring me joy when I am having breakfast every morning.
I have been looking for an ideal painting for my bedroom for quite some time. My bedroom is small with simple decor, and I wanted to find something beautiful, lively, something I would love to look at every day. So now I have The Village, a new Radka’s painting. The Village painting was on display at Radka’s art exhibition in July 2017. It was love at first sight. I was not the only prospective buyer but luckily I was the fastest. Now it is the first thing I see when I open my eyes in the morning. Looking at the painting gives me the biggest joy in winter when the days are dark and grey, and in the middle of my white bedroom wall, there they are, the rich colors of summer. Something to look forward to every day.
Every time I look at your painting I feel at home, relaxed, content, happy. All your paintings radiate calmness, sunshine, and positive ambience. I love them.
